KOMMA: #32 with Celine Werkhoven

at Park in Tilburg

PARK provides a space for artists to conduct interdisciplinary research, responding to the exhibition. This time, it’s Celine Werkhoven’s turn to respond to the exhibition ‘Rewriting The Future.’ The performance is on Saturday, February 10th, at 3:30 PM.

Celine van Werkhoven (1990) describes herself as a dancer, choreographer, and singer with a love for movement, sound, and visual arts. In recent years, she has increasingly focused on her own artistic language, both independently and in collaboration with the SKYPUNCH COLLECTIVE, of which she is a co-founder. This results in performances that do not limit themselves to one form or discipline and always engage more than one sense.

Her latest research revolves around finding synergy between movement, sound, and space, with each element nourishing the next. Through poetic images and sounds, she presents her vision of what it means to be human, both on a deeply personal and collective level, often with a touch of wonder, humor, and sensitivity. In addition to Celine, the collective ‘What the eye often misses’ will also present their makers’ commentary.
