To paint is to Love again
To Paint is to Love Again is an ode to the human urge to create beauty and meaning through doing and making, whether this stems from the freedom of possibility or the constraints of sheer necessity. Above all, it is an exploration of the phenomenon of craftsmanship in all its manifestations. A hunger for direct and experiential action is something the craftsman has in common with the artist and dancer, two aspects close to Borgermans' heart.
With compelling dance material, text and storytelling, Elisabeth creates a theatrical playground. In this playground, she combines a wide variety of elements and perspectives. She skillfully embodies the artist's intentions. She shows the perspectives of the hardworking man and woman and adopts the abstract attitude of the scientist. At the same time, she shows various physical skills, which are necessary for a craftsman to use tools.
