KOMMA with Helena Araújo
@ Park
As part of What is this World? by Bik Van der Pol, dance and performance artist Helena Araújo, together with sound designer Marnix Van Soom, is organising a tea party with the world on Friday 11 February. You are cordially invited to listen and merge with the world, as a multitude of voices, over tea, with something to eat also provided. A warm and surreal setting will be the setting for an exchange of stories, thoughts and feelings about the world we live in, to imagine together what other possible worlds we could construct or even transform into.
Helena Araújo is a Brazilian dance and performance artist living and working in Brussels. She interprets the work of others, creates her own work and shares her practices through workshops. She also writes poetry and has recently started writing song lyrics. She believes in the potential of diverse expressions and collaborations, and everything in between where that constantly redefines itself and makes room for the interweaving of the poetic and the political. She will work at PARK from 8 to 11 February to prepare this performance, in conversation with the world.
Tea with the world will take place on Friday 11 February, at 5pm and 8pm.
Supported by DansBrabant, PARK and Bik Van der Pol.
