Making Space, Making Movie
Aftermovie of Making Space-project: the body in public space
Aftermovie of the Making Space project: the body in the public space. Shot in Spoorzone and Theresia neighbourhood, Tilburg (NL), in the autumn of 2017. Making Space is a project of DansBrabant & Fontys Dance Academy. Making Space is part of Oktober Dansmaand, an activity of Tilburg Dansstad.
Streets, squares and parks in the Spoorzone area and in the district of Theresia were the scope for different choreographers from October 9 till 13 2017. Together they operate as Making Space: researching what their work means in public space and how we experience this space in everyday life. Established choreographers Vloeistof and The100Hands, Josse Vessies as well as choreography students Piet Van Dycke and Maria Sartzetaki were working this week. They invited us to look at our environment differently and make us feel how our bodies move in public space.
Monday 9 till Friday October 13 | Spoorzone and Theresia Neighbourhood | Free entrance
Presentation moments were on Thursday 12 and Friday October 13 4pm – 6pm.
