Exchange / lecture performance test session + follow-up discussion 28 juni
Stuff, services, knowledge, entertainment, nonsense. All day long, people exchange with each other. In society, this exchange increasingly takes on the character of a transaction.
Based on an agreement, goods and services are exchanged for money. What if these standardised agreements go away? Or we get somewhere where a different standard applies? Are other modes of exchange conceivable and what could they bring us?
At the intersection of performing arts, scientific research and entrepreneurship, Breda-based company The100Hands, together with Godelieve Spaas (Avans, lecturer New Economy & Sustainability and Falk Hübner (Fontys, lecturer Artistic Connective Practices), are investigating the workings and values of exchange.
Within the Exchange Project, we work in parallel on the interactive performance with The100Hands, on a scientific research with Avans and Fontys lectorates and a lecture performance. All these facets come together within Exchange Project.
On 28 June, this test session shows the work-in-progress of the lecture performance and invites you to look at the theme of exchange from the intersection of academic and artistic domain. It will be in character a more verbal than the physical performance but partly interactive and full of stories and critical reflections. Performance by Mojra Vogelnik-S. (artistic leader The100Hands), Godelieve Spaas (lecturer Avans) and Falk Hübner (lecturer Fontys).
