A cooperative effort between DansBrabant, Fontys Dance Academy, Factorium, Theaters Tilburg and Theater De Nieuwe Vorst
Unfortunately, we have to report that DANSJACHT 2020 has to be postponed. On Tuesday September 29, the Municipality of Tilburg established that due to the current Covid-19 measures it is not possible to have our event take place on October 18. Especially the stipulation that no more than 40 people may come together outside was a decisive factor.
This means that DANSJACHT will definitely not take place on October 18. A replacement date is being looked for. Once we establish this date, we will communicate about this right away.
We think it’s a great pity for all the dancers, the city and the audience, but for now we stick to the idea that we will be able to show DANSJACHT at some point. Until then!
With DANSJACHT we will celebrate winning back public space as the place where we interconnect. The event was originally scheduled for 18 October 2020 and will be shared with the people of Tilburg. Together with professionals and dance aficionados we immerse in Seasons March by Pina Bausch – a procession dance that relates to the passage of time and the rhythm of the seasons, and make a true Tilburg interpretation with breakouts of solo’s, duets and group choreographies. Seasons March originates from a performance entitled ‘Nelken’ (1982) and is also known as the ‘Nelken Line’.
Along the route leading from Piushaven to the city centre we will discover Tilburg’s true fibre and reveal how united people are even with one-and-a-half meters distancing.
